Talent Vs. Passion

KFz loves the slogan "Hard work beats talent...when talent doesn't work hard".

I think he needs to learn "Passion beats ability...when ability plays with no passion".

If he did, we wouldn't lose to teams like ISU and Minnesota and pizz down our leg on a regular basis.

The 'no passion' line and KF is about the dumbest thing you can post. Just because his team doesn't jump around like bafoons like Mike Stoops or PR....doesn't mean his teams don't have passion. Did it every occur to anyone that you can't win every game, and that maybe the players just didn't play well? There's something profound.

Frickin Idiot. TDTL. Kirk's lack of passion has killed us many times.

If you watched the ISU and Minnesota game this year, you have all the evidence you need. If we match the intensity of those teams, we win both games.

Instead we played like our coach's personality...wet cardboard.

Talent and preparation are two legs of the three-legged stool it takes to win. Playing with energy on game day is the third...and the one we regularly come up short on.

THIS. all the "no effort" and "no passion" stuff is absurd. Too many finger pointers on this board, there are a limited few that are really pathetic. WAAHHH, if they don't win ever game, i'm gonna take my ball and go home, waahhhh.

Go Hawks, play hard this Friday and let's get this one !!

Go Hawks Forever, win or lose.

btw - Ferentz is a great coach, and an even better mentor and man.
