The Michigan pick six was tipped I believe and a lineman walked in....the second one escapes my memory right now...if there was one.
The NIU pick off was Jakes first game as a starter, but it was probably the biggest mistake of the season. Ward picked it off and NIU drove down and won at the buzzer on a fg. Ward was a 1st round pick of the 49ers, and is getting on the field, so he is no bum.
Pretty similar to the ISU game this year...we have the good early lead, and then it starts to slip away...and we cannot reverse it.
Jake was good vs ISU and Minny last year after that, tho....he was good when he was really spry and running well, like he did vs Ball St.
I am a big CJ fan, but I do think that Jake has done some good things and will be needed, even if KF goes the way I hope. We all saw the Michigan QB get his clock cleaned, and the backup was needed. ....happens all the time. If it did happen to CJ, I would feel confidence in Jake to lead us to a win.
