Goofers Pathetic Court Storm

Tough loss last night for an under-the-weather team, not having their A-Game, and being hamstrung by blind refs favoring the home team in their joke of an arena.

However, did you see that a few dozen students stormed the court? Now, that was sad for sure. However, doesn't that show how far we have come as a program in such a short time span? In a half a season McCollum has us nationally ranked and relevant enough that 35 kids from Worthington, all hopped up on Molson Lights, decided that this win was against such a worthy opponent, that they had to climb the four steps up it takes to get on that dumb floor and hop around with their boyfriends. #Respect

but maybe this is what is needed to bring more students into carver lol. The crowd was decent for ucla but not sure it was too heavy on students. Where even is the evidence of the new student section any ways.

Zebras were not necessarily blind, they knew exactly what they were doing

We would get slammed to the floor

No call but a touch foul called under our basket

Featherweight touches in fact

"Touch" refers to the physical sense of feeling, the act of making contact, or a subtle impression

Izzo had just made a comment about this when Nebraska beat them. He said something to the extent of he loves to see other teams fans storm the court. It shows how much a win against that specific team means.

Exactly. As pathetic as it was, some of those clods stormed the court. I can't remember the last time that happened to Iowa (Men).

Pretty sure this has been an issue longer than just break
Yes it has. The 300 seats courtside are reserved for students. Really good attendance there so far. Hopefully, our new coach will attract more students.

Any thoughts on what should be done to improve student attendance? Would enjoy hearing your thoughts!

Aren't they behind the basket though?

Ideas?

1) Free admittance with a student ID.

2) Free pizza. 300 seats x 2 pieces each = 75 pizzas a night. Child's play for the U as far as budget.

3) Drawing at each home game for three PlayStation 5 consoles. First drawing right before the game, second at halftime, third at the end of the game and must be present to win.

20 home games x 3 PlayStations x $500 = $30,000 for the whole season. Again, child's play in the overall budget.

4) Move the students courtside in view of TV cameras.

You want students to be there when we're not a basketball school like Michigan, Purdue, MSU, Indiana, etc? Gotta go big or go home. Nut up or shut up, if you will...

Meh

Beat Illinois on Sunday, and I am good. Niko Medved looked like a villain in a Bond movie….that is the only other thing that stood out to me. The lame ass court storming at the end…I am pretty much dead inside anyway…I don’t give a shit.
