Give Garmon a pass...

I have an idea that KF will defer any thoughts on suspentions until the beginning of the season. There may be some internal penance to pay during fall practice. There is a certain amount of playing it by ear. They have to get to know the kid. If they think it's a one time lapse of judgement than punishment will be straight forward and on the light side. If the kid has impulse issues, an over-inflated ego, or just doesn't get the responsability thing, than things get more interesting.

You can't start playing this game where you suspend one kid then not the other because we are thin at his position.
KF will treat the kid fairly and consistently. To do otherwise will create internal friction within the team.

+1. You can bet the farm that this will be the case. Remember who our head coach is. Let's hope the kid takes the punishment in stride and goes on to have a successful career at running back at Iowa.

James Ferentz who had two strikes against him, has turned out to be a pretty good ambassador for the program.

I would hope Greg Garmon is afforded the same opportunity.
