Somebody correct me if I am wrong, does MC look a tad bit slow trying to hit some of the holes. Bullock and McCall seemed to be a bit more faster and able to hit the holes better. I know that MC is more of a power runner than a fast and shifty runner but man watching the game you can't help but to say at times he missed the hole or he is tad bit slow!

What do you guys think?

Was he this slow vs. Mizzou?

He was definitely more decisive vs. Missouri. We he gets to thinking, his slow feet get slower and it really affects his running ability. Less thinking, quick decisions, hit it hard...that's what he needs to do IMO.

He isn't slower...less decisive? probably, but some have too high of expectations like he is supposed to duplicate the missouri game every game. Teams are going to try and take him out of the game and make JVB beat them. This could spell Coker's emergence as they see JVB is dangerous. Plus McCall is 15-20 lbs lighter than Coker and Bullock is about 30 lbs lighter than him.

I wonder if some of that has got to do with the mentality of him worrying to much about fumbling the ball?

This is an issue right now...a major one. But I think he'll be fine. He's tentative right now...way too indecisive. But he'll be fine. JVB's performance today will open up offense. Teams will think twice about stacking the box and this should help Coker and the entire running game tremendously. Staff must find a compliment to Coker. Hopefully Bullock will earn some trust over the next few weeks.
