Anybody heard Morris and Nardo out today?

Those two as questionable is not good. Neither have been the most stout at their position this year.

Man, watching a broken down Neilson getting pushed around, Morris getting taken out time and again by a fullback, and Nardo getting pushed out of position has already been bad enough. Now you say it might be worse!

I say put speed guys in and just gap blitz the whole game.

Nardo was Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after the ULM game.
12 tackles. I guess he was stout that day?

I heard the report from the sideline reporter in Iowa on the BTN pregame show. She said both were questionable,not out. We will see. Not good,tho.
Maybe go with Hitchens at Nielsens spot and slide Tyler over to mlb?
Slide Alvis over to Nardo's spot and go with Lebron at d-end?

James Morris is an extremely talented football player, BUT he may be to small to play middle linebacker over the long haul. They list him at 227 but I believe it was Podolak who said he would be surprised if he weighed 220. Historically Iowa has exaggerated both heights and weights.

I wonder if the coaches would ever consider making him a safety?? Do you all remember All-Pro Steve Atwater from the Denver Broncos? He went something like 220-230 lbs. I think Morris might be fast enough.

But of course we have no linebacker depth now, or in the next year or so??
