My theory is that he was very busy with recruiting and also brought in several outside candidates to interview for the job. Bradley was nixed by the administration, Spack came in to talk, but wanted to stay where he was. Maybe Herrmann interviewed. But in the end, PP was the best guy for the job. It just took awhile to make sure.
I was initially a little disappointed, but I'm starting to get behind this. I really think Norm was operating at about 60% capacity the last few years. Just getting a guy out there that can grab a player by the shirt collar will help immensely.
