Why is the timeline so difficult for many to digest?

Now are we talking about staff changes, Kozan or the completion date for the new Kum & Go?
he did his job and interviewed as many canidates as he thought he should and probably interviewed some a 2nd and 3rd time and mulled it over and then determined the position changes to elicite the best chances for his staff to do their best. once we see how the rest shakes up i think everything will be good and maybe even an improved offense in the same system.

My theory is that he was very busy with recruiting and also brought in several outside candidates to interview for the job. Bradley was nixed by the administration, Spack came in to talk, but wanted to stay where he was. Maybe Herrmann interviewed. But in the end, PP was the best guy for the job. It just took awhile to make sure.
I was initially a little disappointed, but I'm starting to get behind this. I really think Norm was operating at about 60% capacity the last few years. Just getting a guy out there that can grab a player by the shirt collar will help immensely.

I guess we don't know what went on that took that long. KF might have known all along that he was going to promote PP...or not. PP might have had interest in other jobs. Other staff members might have as well. He might have been looking at active NFL assistants for positions other than DC. Maybe there were contractual issues, interviews outside of the staff that took a long time to coordinate. I really don't know why it took so long to announce, but don't really care. There is more to hiring a coordinator than just saying, "yeah, I think I'll pick you." I honestly think it had to do with so many things other than just naming PP as DC.

If he announced that Morgan was moving to D-Line coach then Brian would of had to answer endless questions about coaching with his dad during the Patriots playoffs. He was not going to create that distraction for his son or friend Belichik. The staff undoubtedly knew and he felt it did not hurt recruiting so he waited.
I don't necessarily agree with waiting, but I can't point to a single defensive recruit we lost as a result. (Curry was going with Kaz to Nebby regardless).

I would assume it took so long was because of the interviewing process. Im PP and Wilson interviewed along with other outside considerations. A few people got the chance to interview for a second time, including PP. After mulling over the choices for a week or so, along with recruiting, he came to the conclusion that his best hire was already coaching the DB's. So he made the hire. Its not that hard to understand that maybe PP was not intially the top choice untill interviewing a few outside guys and realizing, hey PP is the man.

too many people dont choose wisely. key reason most just get ****** and dont think logically about what has been happening such as: recruiting, interviewing, being a father and husband, etc that kf has to do and everyone wants things done on their timeline and think they are privy to every bit of info. dont crucify kf or pp until they show pp isnt the right guy. if next yr he makes the defense better than it was this yr we will be happy because it should be another down defensive yr.

how about this one: KF had to follow University hiring procedures and protocol. Regardless of internal hire or otherwise.

i'm not criticizing how long it took nor who the hire is. i'm criticizing duff for starting a thread about people being "clueless" about a timeline. A)he doesn't know exactly how things went down B)if he does, he could provide his knowledge for others to learn from.
instead, he chooses the "girl on facebook" route. you know those girls that post statuses that say something like "i'm not happy" but doesn't go any farther than that so people will respond.
