We need a Peyton Manning

Who doesn't want a Peyton Manning and it's hard to compare the NFL with college. He demands perfection and goes out of his way to help each player improve. I'm not saying the quarterback position but just a team leader that can go out there on Saturdays and show by example and bring that talent level up and expect everyone to play 100%. Michael Jordan did that with the Bulls. He made everyone around him a better player. And if you didn't meet his expectations on the floor, it wasn't Phil Jackson you had to deal with it, it was MJ and he would get in your face and embarrass you right on the floor. No player wanted any part of that. - Do we have any players that can do that. Do we expect Kirk to take the heat every week for play execution that we should see our players make. Is that expecting too much. Maybe we just don't have the talent, leadership or chemistry. It's just a thing of beauty when you watch Peyton run the Denver offense. Actually it appears Peyton runs the entire team. Thanks for the ramble.

You wish will never come true (as long as KF is coach of Iowa)... KF wants a game manager. It really irks me... Iowa's second string QB probably has the most athletic ability of any QB recruited by the Ferentzhawks, and he will probably get pizzed down the leg. If some of you guys complain about Iowa's lack of offense... whoops, there it went.

Peyton, hell, I'd take Archie if we could get him...when you think about it...it makes about the same amount of sense as the OP. Now, if he would have said, can't we get a Sammy Baugh or Paul Horning...we can find those...unfortunately, they are still the 1950s skill level players with the same speed...we can get those all day long.
