I've been impressed with his play the last few games; reminds me of Tony Moeaki. Is his blocking good enough for him to start next year?

I have a feeling he will disappear into the deepest depths of the depth chart until he is a senior. But that is just me.

I actually think Fant can be used as more of a slot WR type. I honestly could care less if he can in-line block. He's probably our second best hands receiver and nearly our best receiver at getting separation.

Safe to say he'll have a leg up on being the receiving TE next yr. He's pretty lean and athletic. I hope that one of the other younger TEs be it Hockenson or Beyer can step up and contribute too. I've said on the basketball side I wish Wagner would come put cleats on....

He is a big talent. I think he gets some catches in the bowl game and will play a big role in 2017

Agree with this 100%, I think he is a big part of the offense next season. His blocking will come along, but hopefully the Hawks can get some good match-ups with him, great athlete!

He reminds me of the Penn St. TE, the 6'6 250 lbs. guy. I am thinking to myself that is Fant in a year or two. For the love of gawd if Iowa would use him that way.

He's a great weapon but one that won't get used while GD is the OC. GD is allergic to the middle of the field. Ken killed teams with a TE up the seam, I'd love too have that back.
A FKing Men! Maybe someone needs to force Derpvis to watch Iowa games when Dallas Clark played.

he needs to add some weight to his frame, he proved this year he can catch the ball. If he stays injury free (knock on wood) he will be really good.
