SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) — A Sioux City prep football star who has committed to playing football next year for Iowa has been sentenced in Nebraska to nine months' probation for obstructing a peace officer.

The Sioux City Journal (Heelan player Malloy sentenced to probation) reports Michael Malloy pleaded guilty Monday in Dakota County Court to the misdemeanor. In exchange for his plea, three other counts of trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without headlights were dismissed.

Does KF pull the offer? Looks like he had a good season opener for Heelan, rushing 10 times for 82 yards with 2 TDs and catching 3 passes for 65 yards and another touchdown in only one half of action.
