DE isn't a heady position like QB or MLB. Iowa doesn't do a lot of fancy zone blitzing and ask him to drop into coverage or anything like that. Pretty strait forward play your gaps and occasionally run stunts with the DTs. He seems physically ready to go. That said there's a big difference between a 17 yr old jr in HS tackle that he's been going up against a lot this year to a 22 yr old one that's been in a college program 4 or 5 yrs....Like all other FR who don't need to put on a bunch of weigh to get physically ready, if he knows his assignments for all of the defensive calls and is consistently where he is supposed to be, he'll have a very good chance to play a lot.
If he doesn't, he won't see the field.
