IMO they shouldn’t get a boost from not playing a conference championship game. Join a conference or win 11 games. Their choice. Ironically, they easily win the ACC this year and would probably be the four or five seed. Alas.

No model that results in an 8-5 Duke making the playoffs is a good one. I get the sentiment, but no. Big 12 and ACC should not have autobids. We should stop pretending they’re “power” conferences anymore.
