We can make excuses, but Block wasn't the only one that had gas tank issues. Ludington was gassed midway through the 2nd. When was the last time we've seen a PSU wrestler gassed, or even Nebraska or OSU (x2), for that matter? With his lower weight and length, Kueter's only chance at being a...

    CFP Semi Finals

Yeah, I'm not planning on going to Vegas anytime soon. . . Happy with the outcome, though.

    CFP Semi Finals

I'll be pulling for Indiana, but my gut is that Oregon is going to take them down tonight. The Ducks are healthier than they were in the first match-up, and Lanning is smart as hell, and I'm sure he relishes the idea of bursting the Cignetti hype bubble.

    CFP Semi Finals

Great game to watch. I was pulling for Ole Miss simply because their QB is very likeable, and seems like a really solid young man. And, the fact that they were screwed over by Kiffin.

DT Brice Stevenson Transfer Commits To Hawks

I hadn't until a couple of days ago. Yes, there is quite a resemblance there. Ha.

    IOWA WRESTLING OMG!!!

I've always had a ton of respect for Tom and Terry. I think both care tremendously about what they do and are completely genuine - what you see is what you get. They're not interested one iota in what people outside of the wrestling room think. There's an impervious shell of pride and integrity...

    Iowa State has been decimated

This is what worries me personally about what might happen in terms of my interest level. I hate the thought of losing my enthusiasm for college sports. That's been a huge part of my identity, and one of a handful of things from which I derive pleasure, forever. When NIL and the portal came...

DT Brice Stevenson Transfer Commits To Hawks

It's a double-edged sword. There's nothing wrong with being frugal and pragmatic, but, the question is, are those the players that are going to elevate you to the next level? I see a Noah Shannon 2.0 here. He'll give us plenty of snaps next year and will hold his own at times and add to depth...

    Let the portal madness begin

Harkless was the first guy I posted on a prior thread. From what I've heard, he's also a good "team" guy, and Purdue hates to lose him. I'd love to see a big run-stuffer that also has good movement skills brought in. To me, DT is our biggest portal need.

    Let the portal madness begin

Perich would be a great addition, and would fit in immediately. It will all depend upon how much he is prioritizing the money. Allen is a bit of a surprise, but he just didn't make that expected leap this season. It makes one wonder if he has essentially hit his ceiling. We have more potential...

    No opt-outs

That's a legitimate question, and I definitely could see that as a boiler-plate contract inclusion moving forward. Nevertheless (and admittedly I haven't researched it), I wouldn't be surprised if Iowa was the only non-CFP bowl team with zero opt-outs. They've stressed the importance many...

    Other Bowl Games

Not B1G, but the Duke-ASU game kicked ass. Very entertaining.

    No opt-outs

It may sound sappy, but I'm proud to be a Hawkeye fan today. There were several gut-wrenching "What ifs" with this 2025 squad, but at the end of the day it was a solid all-around season that gave this fan a sense of satisfaction that I haven't experienced for awhile. Perhaps what is even more...

    Iowa State has been decimated

Yeah, it's hard to imagine a dramatic player turnover when Kirk steps away. It's highly unlikely that it would be abrupt, and I would imagine that the staff will make every effort to get ahead of things through open conversations. I've personally known four players that were part of the team...

Turn the lions into Pussy Kats Game Thread

Agree. Watching her play, I think she would benefit tremendously from intense S&C during the off-season. If she really dedicates herself to it, she could be a beast.

    Iowa State has been decimated

No doubt. My guess though is that better prospects at defensive line will be available in the portal. Those two TEs are pretty solid. Ebel would be a nice addition, but we have some real talent waiting in the wings at LB. They just need reps.

    Iowa State has been decimated

We have a decent TE room, but there's not a ton of game experience there and history of injuries. Brahmer or Burkle would not be a bad addition.

Does Iowa have a QB that can be good next year

I get more of a (former Georgia QB) Stetson Bennett-type vibe with him. Both were cocky, but Tate was probably a little more ego driven and not always on the same page with the coaches. Bennett was tough as nails and more of a natural leader. I'm looking forward to seeing what Hecklinski can...

Bark Huskies Bark To No Avail Game Thread

Hopefully, the girls and the coaches will approach this as a learning experience and use it to make some positive adjustments moving forward. Jan and the staff will need to walk that fine line between critiquing performance and maintaining confidence. Competing with the "big boys" without a...

    You're the GM - 2026 Roster Edition

I agree with most that there is enough talent at LB to let it shake out. Buffington has All B1G written all over him, and Weisskopf and Ries are uber athletic. I've already predicted it, but Hecklinski will endear himself to the fanbase real fast. At DB, don't be surprised if Darion Jones...
