I want some good news this week

Popular sentiment seems to be settling that Drew will be a no-go and that Brian Gregory is the man that stands in the way of (my personal choice) Steve Forbes. I want to know if you would be SATISFIED (even if not your ideal) with the Gregory hire.

Who is on the Steve Forbes bandwagon? This is simply for me to gauge the # of people voicing support for him without having to drudge through various other threads counting them up. Please don't reply if you're not for Forbes. Thank you.

I know it's petty and downright selfish . . . but on the other hand we might really start getting some real buzz on our next coaching hire. Reasons it might help us get Pearl: UT fans are expecting to move pas the Sweet 16, something UT has never done. Maybe Pearl falters on expectations at UT...

and ticket sales and the so-called "expanded coverage" that the BTN is supposed to include for Wrestling, is it possible that Iowa Wrestling could actually generate revenue? I would really like to see the Budget line on Iowa Wrestling as it stands right now. Any resources for that kind of info?

Anyone feel that Brands has the desire for the longevity required to challenge Dan Gable's coaching legacy at Iowa? Could Brands win more duals and championships if he stayed for an equivalent period of time?

for this being a little off-topic . . . but does anyone else think the Iowa Clinic vasectomy ads are just a little odd? I don't think I've ever seen a big Sports Promo campaign for getting snipped. And why the big push?

Is it more about Recruiting or having an established HC? Does having an Iowa tie-in sway the decision in any way? Is it easier to get a Recruiter and add X & O assistant or get a solid proven Major Conference coach & add a top-notch recruiter assistant? I would go for a great recruiter...
