I believe the Rose has probably already made up their mind on what they will do in the event we were to lose to MSU (assuming we would fall below OSU in playoff ranking). What that decision is, however, they aren't going to tell anybody of course.

No Hawkeyes fan should, in my opinion, have any difficulty whatsoever understanding why many would prefer a Rose. It's bred in at an early age of Hawkeye fandom and we have been starving since 1991.

I can see the logic here. Otherwise, every time a former football player dies the decision would have to be made whether to wear all black or not, and what would the cut off be? i.e. age of premature death, whether they were a "star" player or not, etc.? I don't know. Perhaps just the timing...
