Agree with most posters in this thread. I feel we have seen the last of McCall in a hawkeye uniform. Just heard an update from reliable source on the McCall situation and if it comes to reality ... it is not good.

Agreed. Hate to say it but Norm needs to step down for health reasons only. Would love to keep him around with advisory role of some sort if possible. Bring in DC who can also coach LB. Move Wilson to ST ONLY.

Totally agree. Who was in charge of ST in the early-mid 2000's when our special teams were good? Was it one coach or two coaches who shared the responsibility? With Norm declining health, im guessing Wilson has to put more time on the defensive side of things with gameplan, etc. More time...

Heard same thing. Hawkeyes will have different helmet for tomorrow game. I heard there is a USA Tigerhawk on one side and nothing on the other side I believe.

The decision to switch to LB was made Tuesday morning and AJ had his first practice with LB on Tuesday afternoon. Plan is to play special teams now, possibly this week but not confirmed, with goal of getting some reps at LB later in season.

kudos to hawkeye2011 for brining this first. just heard as well that AJ has switched over to LB this morning and practiced today with Lbs. fairly certain this is a long term change but couldn't be confirmed at this point by person who told me.

Totally agree we need to put everything we have into winning. That has been difficult. Just think it would be nice to score more points early in game vs waiting til 4th quarter to break out like Pitt and NW games. Score early to give us the opportunity to get younger guys experience.
