    Minnesota alternate helmets vs MTSU

I'm an MTSU graduate, who grew up in Iowa, as a Hawkeye fan. The giant rats, up North, will be wearing these helmets against the MTSU Blue Raiders. Nice to see Mr. Woodchuck from "Full House" on the helmets, this Saturday. Hoping that Uncle Joey is going the coin flip.

Iowa just isn't a good football team

I like the improvement with our passing game. Running game should be better, and when we had 1st and Goal, from the 5, we should've stretched with Wadley on every down until we scored. Poor playing call there, and you know KOK was biting his tongue, during that stretch. Iowa Secondary may be...

If Gary Dolphin retires, who replaces him?

Choice is: a. CJ and Jake Beathard or b. Nate and Tyler Stanley.

Does the BIG 10 Network ever talk about the Hawks?!?

Come on folks. BTN always has time to remind of that great win in 2007 vs Michigan State. (An Iowa team that finished 6-6 and a Michigan State team that finished 7-6). TV is about ratings, and, thankfully, Iowa gets an equal portion of the pie.

    the old scout forum

I've posted on various Hawkeye message boards and only had issues with Tom Kakert. Major league delta bravo.

    UNC Academic Cheating Scandal

Funny thing is that the NCAA is more upset at the state of North Carolina for not allowing dudes in girls restrooms, then they are about the academic scandal at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Didn't know that dudes in girls restrooms is higher priority for the NCAA then, say, college academics.

Announcers for South Dakota: Kevin Brown and Bryndan Manzer

Bryndan Manzer: 3-point shooter who went to Stillwater. Kevin Brown is a graduate from....Syracuse. Probably still better than not understanding Jim Calhoun 90% of the time. Still better than understanding Dick Vitale 100% of the time. I still like Dan Dakich for B1G basketball games, just...

So Fran has Iowa a 1 seed

Borderline missing the NCAA Tournament, is where a majority of Iowa had this team, given its youth. At the beginning of the season, if you told me, a discussion point would be "is the team better with or without Jok", I'd say you're crazy, but we saw the elevation of this young team, in the...

Hawks a No. 1 Seed in NIT

Living in Tennessee, you have a very, vocal minority that wants to get rid of Butch Jones. Vol fans forget how bad it was under Derek Dooley. Same thing with this vocal minority of Hawkeye fans. You forget how bad it was under Lick on the sidelines and Little Lick on the court. Yes, it was...

!*****Official Booger Eater's Bro-In-Law Gets Eyes Pecked Out By Hawkeyes Game Thread*****!

All to double-digit seeds in the B1G Tournament.

    Projected 2017-18 Big 10 Standings

16 straight years of top 4 B1G finishes for Connie. Impressive, but, yes, The Grinch isn't walking through that door, anymore. Iowa isn't the dumpster fire, it once was, so in-state talent, won't be looking at Wisconsin (Uthoff, Bohannons, etc.)

Boy Wonder has UCLA looking better. Maybe, it's time that Indiana welcomes their Golden Boy, back.

Iowa Still Has A Shot at At Large Bid

I have been won over, after watching the Maryland and Wisconsin game. We want the NCAA, with this recent momentum.

    Calhoun or Dakich?

I would rather have: Not understanding Jim Calhoun 90% of the time, then, understanding Dick Vitale 100% of the time. Dakich is very good for B1G basketball, just like Wayne Larivee was very good for B1G football.

Iowa Still Has A Shot at At Large Bid

I know I may be in the minority, but I would rather see a deep run in the NIT (make it to MSG), than a one-and-done in the NCAA Tournament, given the youth of our team. That Virginia team, we played in the 2013 NIT, was a perfect 9-0, at home, in ACC play, until we won at Charlottesville. Shows...
