Special Teams, Injury at LB position and recent offensive struggles top my list. Lost the close ones this year, won the close ones last year. I doubt any team wants to face this Iowa bunch in a bowl game this year. This team is a handful of plays away from having met preseason hype.
If you told me before the game Iowa would hold Ohio State to 20 points, I would be excited about their chances to win. Holding them to 20 points is great, but there were several dropped balls by their receivers that bailed the defense out. Throw in the fact that this defense has not stepped up...
Do you think the other team is expecting us to run when DJK and McNutt are both out of the game?
Any thought on putting a defensive spy on mobile QBs?
The fly over, that was pretty sweet huh?
It's Outback or Cap, this team is finishing 9-3. Don't get too caught up with the could of would of should of for this team and miss out on a big Hawkeye victory this Saturday!
Leaving Robinson in late probably has more to do with keeping his body and mindset used to getting the ball 25 plus times a game for 4 quarters. He is our work horse and there will be very few games where he is not needed for the full game. I personally wouldn't have left him in, but my guess...
I can see QB being the most uncomfortable position to coach your son at, but other positions make sense. It seems to have worked well for Ferentz at Iowa
I hope they mix it up, otherwise I doubt MSU has any problems moving the ball. They have better receivers than Wisky does, and equal talent at RB. I like our O's ability to move the ball, so why not take some chances early and try to rattle Cousins.
Unless his sons are 4 or 5 star caliber recruits, I can see why he would rather they go to another school to have a better shot at playing time. Good to see he thinks so highly of Iowa though.
