I agree with you - give bonuses based on achievements.

Bonuses are standard and Fran's 30K bonus is probably on the smaller side. But a raise of 400,000/yr? That's 2,000,000 over the life of the contract (assuming 5 more years) Is Fran a top 40 coach? Asking for a friend..

Bonuses are common 30k, 25k, etc. one time payment bonus. $400,000 per year (every year going forward) raises are not common.

Substitution patterns (or lack of) drives me nuts. IMO, ..8 man rotation is best in college basketball. Play the five best players the most minutes with 3 solid backups (a guard, a wing, and a big). Then have a couple more spot minute guys for foul trouble and maybe to give 2-3 minute rests...

Agree - but with Fran Playing everyone double digits minutes every game - who are the backups.
