When Lick first arrived, he did say the players shouldn't get tired, they should be able to go the entire 40 minutes. I attribute the change in strategy to a realization that the Big 10 style of play is tougher physically than the midmajors, and to the Tom Davis influence.

IMHO, the pro game is so different from the college game that success in college doesn't guarantee success in the pros, and the contribution of coaching is largely irrelevant.
