Agreed w/ Finkbine (Lot L on the map, see below.) I would also consider the EPB/Library lot (Lot S.) It is calmer than some, but scenic, right in the heart of campus and closer to Kinnick. University of Iowa Official Athletic Site Gameday

Cheerleader? No. I just remember watching a growing number of morons in the stands trying to imitate true football fans cheering on their teams, but doing it wrong. Now any young fan, moron or not, has to wonder what the hell is going on.

Its an imitation of "alligator arms." It should only be done after certain types of incomplete passes that commonly occur on 3rd downs. But, nobody understands what it means, so they do it after any 3rd down stop.

The two times I've been to Bob's this year its been great. With lots of cool Hawk hoops memorabilia too. I'd try there first, then swing by Blackstone. Lou Henri's on Iowa & Dodge is worth a look if an informal neighborhood place will fit the bill. Downtown won't be too bad at the non-bar...

Chris Street lived across the hall from me when I was a freshman. He was "off-the-charts great" in his charisma, kindness, focus, and enthusiasm for fun. I always mention his greatness to people who don't know about him. Sometimes I wonder how much my memories of him have been embellished...

I admittedly heard only parts of the coverage, but I only heard EP saying that NIU's d-line was better than most lines that the Hawks will face. That being said, lets keep going w/ this thread! I think we're close to finding a point that's somewhat relavent.

Here's another thought on the ignore vs. ban debate, or whatever you call it. You are almost guaranteed to see the posts of people in your ignored list quoted in the replies of those same post. Maybe that is a future feature to add. Also, if you ignore people because you don't want to see...

I find the story hard to believe. Talk about the nightmare first day of school. To purposely wear a Hawk shirt with "knowing" your surroundings is really... something. Kudos to the players for not pounding you but scaring it off you. (And I rarely give kudos to ISU players.)
