As long as Iowa plays well I don't mind a loss.... Road wins in conference are always a bonus. Can we win? Of course. They have shown they can.

Agree completely...at this point wins are the most important thing. Getting better as a team through the year is high up there also but if we want to win the big ten title we need wins and other teams to lose. Whether we finish 1st or 4th in the Big 10, we won't be on the bubble or worrying...

Maybe they are staying at home and planning on playing 7 linemen and 4 LBs as we'll run 99% of the time.....plus the SEC speed those 4 LBs probably can cover our WRs.

The game plan I was referring to was our Offensive gameplan of not driving as much and initiating contact not our Defensive gameplan. I think we did a great job on defense not letting them win with 3's and get the crowd going.....no complaints whatsoever on the defensive end. I think making...

I think most conference road games are considered quality road wins so if we can win 4-5 away from home this year in conference I think that is a great accomplishment. Assuming we hold serve at home and maybe slip up once that should end with a 12-6 record...and I would take that.

"blame Fran some" is in response to the FT discrepancy based on gameplanning.....not blaming Fran for the loss or anything else. Quit being a "know it all" and allow other people to have opinions about the game.

Where in my post did I blame Fran for missed free throws? Also....pretty sure I said blame the players for going soft to the hoop.

I never said Fran blew it.....I said there was a reason for the difference in FT shooting and it wasn't the refs.

With the new rules in basketball driving to the hoop is usually going to result in a defensive foul. Hoiberg had his guys ready to attack the basket. Fran did not. The entire ISU/Iowa game ISU was the agreesor in the half court. Iowa did very well on fast breaks but usually did not go hard...

Biggest difference from last year to this year is we currently only have 1 team with a RPI below 300. Maryland Eastern Shore is 303-313 depending on the site. The rest are all better than 278-282 (Ab Christian)...last year we had multiple below 300. Not sure if MES can get into the 200's...

Speed is neutralized by going directly at those guys and running more inside zone than outside zone...also by running play action boot legs to keep them honest and their gaps. I think we do both of those very well when we let ourselves (meaning playcalling and not overthinking things)
